It was the perfect southern chic wedding.  Sarah and Trey were united in marriage at the private residences of her grandparent's beneath the sprawling pecan trees with a fabulous red barn as their backdrop.  Sarah mentioned to me during our walk through that she declared in the 8th grade that she would marry the man of her dreams beneath those trees and every single member of her family made sure that every detail of her declaration came to life.  Lots of love and hard work went into every single detail.  The wedding was planned to perfection and it was absolutely beautiful.  Congratulations, Sarah & Trey.  May your marriage be abundantly blessed.  Thank you for allowing me the privilege to share your special day with you.  I hope that these images always evoke thoughts of happiness and that they will forever bring you back to that special moment in time, on May 18th.

Cesa and Jeff love to have fun and they love Austin, Texas.  When I sit down with potential couples, I always want to hear THEIR love story.  I love hearing how they met, their engagement story, and etc.  When I start planning an engagement session, my goal is to plan and personalize it as much as possible because I want these images to be meaningful, I want them to evoke thoughts of happiness when they look back at them for years to come, and I want the images to represent the couple and their relationship.  And this session did just that, it was completely personalized.

Shortly after meeting up with them for the 1st time, I got the sweetest email from Jeff.   He thoughtly listed out locations and provided me with significant memories/highlights in their relationship.   I gratefully took the list and ran with it.  We planned a sunrise session and wouldn't you know it, it was a muggy/overcast morning in Austin, Texas with a marathon going on downtown.  Well, that did not stop us.  Cesa and Jeff embraced it the moment, we made the best of it, and they danced. They danced liked like no one was watching.  Completely absorbed in the moment.  I loved it!!  Yep, I pretty much love them and I can not wait to photograph their wedding next Summer.  I can promise you it will be fun-filled event.

Congrats Brent & Megan on the birth of your son.  He is absolutely precious!!   Parenthood is such a privilege and the 1st year is such a wonderful and miraculous year.   Enjoy all the 1st milestones, the sweet smell of a newborn, 1 am cuddles, and all those tiny baby clothes.   You are making memories that will last a lifetime.  This is such a sweet chapter in life, enjoy!!

 Time Is Everything

As Nacho Libre says, "My Life is good, real good."  

 I hope you read that quote with Nacho's accent:-) Seriously, life is great and I could not be happier.  Now, before you roll your eyes, let me explain.  Not every day is full of rainbows and butterflies, but I strive my hardest to make the best of each and everyday.  One thing that I have learned in my thirties is that life is a gift, it is a PRECIOUS gift.   There are no guarantees of tomorrow.  I have problems just like everyone else and I do get down at times, but I try to surround myself with positivity.  I am very much a "joy builder" and I try to stay away from the "joy suckers."  Not every waking moment is great, but each moment is absolutely what you make it.   As the calendar turns year after year, I optimistically embrace each and every day.  35 was an incredible year, the highlights far outweigh any of the negatives.  I love that memory can be so selective and attitude can be so powerful.  When I think of this past year, I only think happy thoughts.  I am reminded of just how good God is, how blessed I am, and how I can't wait to see what 36 has in store for me.  A huge thanks for all the birthday wishes, texts, calls, and social media love.  I really do have the best family, friends, and clients. I am beyond humbled and grateful for each and every one of you!!.   Here's a quick recap on how I welcomed 36 via my iphone.  The weekend included lots of indulging and I enjoyed the good ole birthday pass, cheers!!!
