Where Do Your Sessions Take Place?
- I am an on-location photographer, who prefers to utilize natural light for my sessions. I like to use the great big outdoors as my playground, we can use a location of your choice, I can suggest a few of my favorite locations, or we can even use your home. The possibilities are really endless and we will narrow them down depending of what type of look and feel you are wanting for your portraits. I love combining the ordinary with the unusual and I can find beauty in almost anything. Each and every session starts as a blank canvas and together we have the opportunity to create something unique, something that is timeless, a piece of art that will be cherished forever My goal is to deliver more than a portrait, it should be a piece of art that has character, tells a story, and accurately reflects you and your family.
How Long Does A Session Take?
- Generally, a session will last anywhere from 1-2 hours. Newborn session can take longer.
What To Wear?
- If you are comfortable in heels and a skirt go for it. If flip flops and jeans are more your style, then rock it. I want my clients to feel comfortable and for the portraits to accurately represent them. Wear what you like, but just keep in mind that we will more than likely be shooting outdoors. Bottom line, don’t sweat the wardrobe. We will get all details ironed out before your session during our consultation.
Do You Allow Clothing Changes And Props?
- Yes, props and clothing changes are allowed and encouraged. We can discuss these details during your portrait consultation. Some locations will have facilities for clothing changes, whereas others will not and will require some creative improvising.
Do You Travel?
- Yes, I will travel within a 30 mile radius of the Austin area. Anything outside of that will require additional fees for mileage.
What If The Weather Is Uncooperative On The Day Of Our Session?
- Since the majority of my sessions are outdoors, it is key that I utilize the very best natural light to create your portraits. We all know that the Texas weather can be somewhat unpredictable; sunny skies can turn dark in a matter of seconds. Therefore, sessions are subject to change depending on Mother Nature. If the weather (most likely rain, fog, and heavily overcast skies) prevents a scheduled session, I will contact you as soon as possible and the session will be canceled and rescheduled for the next weather permitting available date. Thank you in advanced your understanding.
Cancellations?
- Being a Mom to 3 children, I do realize that things unexpectedly come up that require a cancellation. If possible, a 24 hour notice is greatly appreciated. If a cancellation is required, the session will be canceled and rescheduled. The session retainer will not be refunded.
