Do you offer guarantees?

All work produced by C. Thompson Photography is guaranteed. If you aren’t happy with images from your session–for any reason–we’ll offer a reshoot. We believe in 100% customer satisfaction & want you to love your portraits & the story they tell.

Where do your sessions take place?

Everywhere. Each & every session starts out as a blank canvas & together we will create something unique, something timeless, a piece of art that has character, tells a story & accurately reflects you.

How long do sessions take?

A typical photo session will last anywhere from 30-90 minutes.  This will depend on the session selection:  Mini, Tradition, Ultimate

Is my session due at booking.

Yes, session is due at booking.  You will receive an invoice and payment will confirm session date. 

What happens after my session?

 Within 7-10 days of your session you will receive a password-protected on-line gallery for viewing & downloading digital images.  Delivery time for weddings & custom services may differ.


Being a Mom to 3 children, I do realize that things unexpectedly come up that require a cancellation. If possible, a 24 hour notice is greatly appreciated. If a cancellation is required, the session will be canceled & rescheduled. The session will not be refunded.

Do you allow clothing changes & props?

Yes, props & clothing changes are allowed. We will discuss these details in your pre-session consultation. Some locations will have facilities for clothing changes, whereas others will not & will require some creative improvising.

Do you travel?

C. Thompson photography is willing to travel within a 40 mile radius of the greater Austin area (78634 zip code). For all other areas, an additional mileage charge based on the current mileage rate published by the Internal Revenue Service is required (currently 55.5 cents per mile).

What if weather is uncooperative?

Since the majority of my sessions are outdoors, it’s key for us to utilize the very best natural light to create your portraits. In the case of inclement weather (most likely rain, fog, or extremely overcast skies) prevents a scheduled session, we will contact you as soon as possible and the session will be cancelled and rescheduled for the next available date. The session retainer fee will be transferred to your new session date.  Here's one of the many weather monitoring sites I use when checking and planning sessions.
