The right location can become an important part of your story.
Before your session, we’ll talk together about where you envision your photographs taking place. We may find ourselves at your home, a favorite neighborhood playground, a beautiful open field, along the water, or in an urban setting filled with character and texture.
Often, the most meaningful location is somewhere that already holds a little piece of your story.
I’m also constantly scouting for beautiful and inspiring locations throughout the area. Based on the feeling, style, and vision you have for your session, I’ll share locations I think may be the perfect fit.
Whether you envision something intimate and familiar, light and airy, natural and organic, or modern and editorial, we’ll choose a setting that complements you and the story we’re telling together.
There is something magical about photographing outdoors. Natural light, beautiful surroundings, and the changing landscape create a sense of depth and emotion that is an important part of my work.
But as beautiful as the outdoors can be, Mother Nature sometimes has a different plan.
If weather conditions such as rain, drizzle, fog, extreme fog, high winds, or heavy overcast skies are expected to significantly affect the quality or experience of your session, we may need to reschedule.
I carefully monitor the forecast and will contact you as soon as possible if a weather-related change becomes necessary.
Your session will be moved to the next available weather-permitting date, and your session retainer fee will be transferred in full to your new session date.
This is never a decision I make lightly. My goal is to give you the beautiful experience and photographs you’ve entrusted me to create. Sometimes that means waiting for the right day, the right light, and the right conditions.
Beautiful photographs are worth waiting for.
Thank you for giving us the flexibility to let the weather work in our favor. When everything comes together—the location, the light, the connection, and the people you love—that’s when the magic happens.
