Thank you Uribe-Weaver Family for allowing me into your life and into your family.

Makayla's crane project and story became something very near and dear to my heart. I have one of the very 1st original cranes set flying high in my office and they are priceless to me. Her artwork will be with me for the rest of my life. These cranes have followed my niece into surgery when she had cancer, they brought me hope when my Dad was fighting for his life, I have gifted them to people all over the country as a sign of hope and strength because with each and every hand folded crane is a story of an amazing girl who has a gift with an incurable brain disease. She has endure over 30 plus surgeries. Her head has been opened more times than we would like to count and despite all of this, she always chooses joy. Despite her pain, she has a smile on her face and don't even get me started about her loyal companion. I love getting to share her story, which has become part of my story.   C. Thompson FamiliesC.
